It is a Scorpio's prerogative to keep secrets. Sealed within this memento mori are nine secrets, carved on coins of porcelain. These are nine secrets I have promised to take to my grave, and the nine benefactors of each of these secrets are depicted on the outside of the sculpture. The only person who will ever learn these nine secrets is the person who purchases SCORPIO'S PREROGATIVE and breaks it open. The only ones who will learn the identities of the secret-bearers are those who are clever and learned in lingua arcana.

SCORPIO'S PREROGATIVE is directly related to my lifetime and is priced as such. The price for this work is one dollar per day of my life which has been required to create this object, 14,246 in total. You are paying for 39 years of secrets. Subsequent renditions of SCORPIO'S PREROGATIVE will only ever be more expensive. It is a Scorpio's prerogative to keep secrets, and I have many.

SCORPIO'S PREROGATIVE was wheel-thrown extemporaneously, without preparation, molds, or jigs. The carving was performed meticulously by hand. The custom-formulated glaze is Midnight, the very same one that adorns your favorite bowls and cups.
