Cardo Cartouche Vase

Artichoke, thistle, cardoon. Cardo Vase is a dramatic new vase with multiple expressions inspired by the ornamental artichokes I observed around Venice. Its impossibly wide belly forms a surface for constellations, stories, and bodies of water. Cardo Vase is a part of our first-ever fully hand-built family of vases. Each step creating this vase requires complete attention to the clay, from the hydration of its body to the sound of the slap of wood on clay as the halves join. Every Cardo Vase has its own unique character gifted by a human hand.

Styling Notes: Cardo Cartouche Vase is a large sculptural vase designed to present many stems with its built-in frog. It shines best when placed alone on a table, counter, sideboard, or shelf.
